Sonja Šmigoc
I am Sonja Šmigoc, a professional artist, having completed my education at the Arthouse College of Visual Arts in Ljubljana. In my creative process, I follow emotions, visions, dreams, and ideas, which I transfer to canvases or paper with a subtle emotional charge. My painting is a reflection of my soul, and I build the composition using lines, dots, and colors.
I work with acrylic, charcoal, and oil as my primary mediums. My favorite subjects to paint are people, animals, and nature, with a particular fascination for portraits. While I mainly paint in a realistic style, I sometimes venture into abstraction, allowing for a diverse approach to my creative expression.
